I know some guys who tamper with them on their computers at home. I'm not
really sure what they're doing yet. I've got some of the software, but
haven't unpacked it yet. I read an interview with Jimmy Page where he
talked about the advances in software--he didn't say much about it other
than that he was amazed by some of what it could do and how simple it is to
use.
I'm gonna be looking into it--not that I'm expecting to do anything
substantial with it--but I'm gonna look at some of the stuff, and I'll type
out what I found out. Some of this stuff is real expensive, but they have
specials on it on alt.binaries.warez.ibm.pc, namely for free.
There are also newsgroups devoted to doing stuff with music and cd writers,
but i haven't checked those out yet.
