Small Soldiers

	Hey-

			I haven't been on the list for awhile, but this afternoon I took my sister
to a matinee of the movie Small Soldiers (about little toys that come to
life), and was thoroughly shocked at one point where our little boy hero is
with his to-be-girlfriend or whatever, and she is looking through his room,
and out of nowhere she says "You like Led Zeppelin?". Now, being a little
youngin myself, it isn't too common that people like Zeppelin, but the people
in the movie have a completely .5 dimensional conversation, something like
"Yeah, theyre the best!" and then the girl says "They're my favorite band."
Later on in the movie we see the girls room, where she has a picture of the
inside illustration on LZ IV that says "Stairway To Heaven" and a "The Song
Remains The Same" poster, as well as another poster, apparently from a concert
tour or something. THis was shocking, but shortly after this the girl is
attacked by little Barbie-like toys, and the attack is played with
"Communication Breakdown". Do the little girls represent the groupies outside
all the old concerts or something? I don't know, but I had a good laugh-it
made the movie. Anyway, I suggest that if youve got 2 hours to kill, this
movies a fun one to watch and it has Zeppelin, not that you couldn't just
listen to the million and a half Communication Breakdowns on the BBC Sessions
or something, but yeah.
