Pretty nice interview with P/P on MTV's Fanatic tonight. Too bad the fan
chosen to interview them was not one of us, but she was very much _like_ one
of us, well spoken, knowledgeable--and apparently, at age 29, right at the
upper age limit MTV allows.
Jimmy talked a lot. If he sees the interview, perhaps he'll take note that
he looks much better in a button shirt than a T-shirt. Good closeups of
him--the kind you usually only get of Robert. You could actually _see_ his
_eyes_! Yep--they are hazel.
And Robert had a psychic moment with the interviewer--unless he was tipped
off ahead of time, he picked up that "In the Light" had special meaning for her.
When Robert mentioned wanting to go to Cuba (presumably one place he hasn't
performed), what the heck did she mean by, "You've had a love implant"???
The only thing I know of that could be so described, Robert definitely
doesn't need!
For what it was, good program--contrast with the shallowness of the girl
interviewing the basketball player in the other half of the show. Cute,
sweet, lively, but no depth.
the fireclown writes,
>3) LZeppGirl----although Robert's ex-wife was brunette, i'll bet he's
>gone through the entire color chart by now. BTW a single Robert is a
>rather interesting thought---yes?
Robert _is_ single--has been for many years now. However, it is becoming
apparent that, for all the proposals he has supposedly uttered (always
reported by other people, never by Robert) since his divorce, he is not
going to remarry any time soon. Robert is one restless man; when asked
recently what one thing he could not live without, he replied, "My
passport." That's not a man pining to settle down.
>6) although his primary interest in working with Puffy may not have been
>commercially motivated, let's get real----they don't call Jimmy
>LedWallet for nothing, i'll bet there was a little "cha-ching" in the
>back of his mind when he was first approached about the collaberation.
>but that's okay. i will, however, be appalled if he ever decides to do
>"A Zeppelin Christmas."
Too late--J.R. already did it. One of his most hilarious countdowns.
