To those fellow list members we were scheduled to meet: Sorry! We were
running late and barely arrived at the scheduled meeting place barely 5
minutes before Page & Plant took the stage. I was a white rabbit, Jeremy
was a black dog--we were looking for the red lobster and the grey
elephant! Needless to say we didn't find them.
Anyway, blahblahlblah setlist the same with In The Light and Season of
the Witch during HMMT and Thank You instead of Black Dog. During the
beginning of HMMT, Jimmy had major problems with his guitar. He had to
retune at least one string on stage while the rest of the band had
already kicked into the song. He missed playing a few parts of it but
caught back quickly.
In general, this show was a "play it safe" night. No special riffs or
twists by Jimmy at all. He even left out the outro solo run of No
Quarter. The solo during WIC was almost identical to the album too.
Nothing terribly outstanding or remarkable, unfortunately! AS opposed to
last night. But it was nice to be outside for the show and even Robert
commented that he enjoyed playing outside rather than in a stuffy
building. The crowd was not as excited either. Everyone around us was
also at least in their 30s. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
And the tape Jeremy played of HMMT as we were caught in parking lot
gridiron with the Woody Woodpecker interlude was the best part of the
night! :-) Jeremy now has a ZepStalker after him who liked his bootleg!
Watch out, she has your address now!
