It's amazing what you can do with technology these days. The audiences back then
were usually pretty quiet while the band was playing- it was proper etiquette to
let them have all the attention... listen to the BBC live shows, and you'll see
what I mean...    The reverb you speak of is added to the track- In any
multi-track worth it's weight; everything was recorded "dry", and any effects were
added later, to keep it as clean as possible going to the tape...
    I understand what you're saying about audience noise- it tends to bleed
through the vocal and drum mics, but as I said- the audiences in England back then
were very polite to the band while they were playing. My guess is that the
audience started to make noise shortly after Bonzo's short drum solo at the end of
the song- hence, no real ending on the version on Coda- Jimmy cut it off right
there; to "fool" everyone...
    ...Exactly why he even bothered to do this is still a mystery to me, and
probably always will be...
