First of all, I would like to say that I checked out this site that
Mike mentioned...not much to choose from, but a certianly well designed
page. Also, some of the discs are on a limited print.
Secondly, I would like to now clear something up about the letter
I had received regarding the D.P. Upon close examination, it didn't
say specifically that the RIAA had targeted my site. Rather, my
server provider had noticed the mp3's and were scared that the riaa
might find out and thus, forced me to close. So in my opinion, the
RIAA didn't know about the site, so with the volunteering of a couple
people out there, this site will have more than twice as many mp3's to
choose from within a couple months when a new url is located.
Thirdly, if anyone would like to host a couple shows on their web site,
please contact me. After all, the more spread out it is, the less likely
any one server will be too much of a target for both the riaa and the high
traffic demands.
And finally, yes I am selling the mp3 cd's for a nominal fee
($6 per disc of 10-12 shows). I do this merely as a convenience to other
Zep fans to help spread the music that should be free in the first place.
this other site is charging upwards of $20 per disc. Compare and contrast p
lease! And we all know who the better band is. Someone should teach him a
lesson by ordering all the cd's and then turn around and sell copies for half price.
well, thats about it for now. Please excuse my ramblings here and thanks for reading them.
cheers.
