Back from Zepfest

Hi, Everyone!
I had a grand time at Zepfest, and loved meeting so many of you whom
I've corresponded and traded with. And I picked up some great loot--special
thanks to Dardo--can't believe that you were practically giving away (and in
some cases literally giving away) such neat stuff!
Right now I'm trying to recover--three cities in two different
countries in five days--whew! I opened my suitcase this morning to take out
the laundry, and now I wonder how it got out of Canada without being picked
out by drug-sniffing dogs. No, I wasn't carrying anything illegal. "Your
memory's clinging to my clothes." Everything I wore soaked up the local
atmosphere, which was, shall I say, enriched?
Personally, I was high on comradarie and music. What concerts!
I've been reading other people's reviews, and have little to add except that
I'm surprised no one mentioned that transcendental moment in Toronto when
Robert started to sing, "The sun's goin' down, I've really got to go now,"
and the light streaming through the amphitheatre shifted from gold to orange
to red.
        Not the stage lighting.
        The _sunlight_!
What an incredible moment: Robert sang the sun down. It had to be
deliberate, in the old Zep tradition of putting the day to bed whenever they
played outdoors--but on Saturday they had it timed to the second, so the
lines corresponded to what was happening in nature. I guess there's some
advantage to a static setlist.
Anyone who videotaped any of these three concerts...share, please?
I'm sure there will be excellent audio--looking forward to the
Cleveland boot, "The Sexiest Man Alive," surely an instant classic.
Well, now I've got to go try to pull my mundane life together.
Thanks to everyone for a great five-day escape. Jean
