7/4 in Toronto (kinda long)

Here I sit, throat sore from screaming, ears ringing with guitar
solos, brain fried from lack of sleep, and loving every minute of it.
I had one of the best times of my life last night at the Molson Amph.
thanx to Jimmy and Robert. Don't mean to sound cheezey, but I'll
remember it for the rest of my life. I was in Section 201, Row V, and
had a perfect view of them, could see the whites of their eyes
practically.

The atmosphere in that place was amazing in the seconds before the
guys came on stage. They ripped right into The Wanton Song, and from
there the setlist was pretty much the same, as was Jimmy's outfit.
Robert was wearing his silver pants and this cool red and black
striped shirt. Everyone was on their feet, except for the new songs,
where they sat or took a bathroom break (I didn't). Robert said it's
been 29 years since they were last in Toronto and they still can't
find the dressing rooms. He called WLL a lullaby, and had the crowd
sing the 'wanna whole lotta love' parts. Rock and Roll was "the
b-side to our new single, a good line-dancing song", and we got to
fill in the 'lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time.' Everybody
was singing along with GTC and Ramble On. No Quarter was played
really well by the keyboard guy, and the guys in front of me held up a
sign that said "John Paul Who?" (not very nice)

They came back for the encore, and Robert had a big bunch of balloons
which he let fly away, to much cheering. Jimmy's solos were amazing
as I expected, his fingers flying, smiling the whole time. Robert was
spinning around, jumping, laughing. It was obvious they were both
having a great time, like I'm positive every person there last night
was. Thanks guys, we love ya.

(oh yeah, Michael and Charlie were pretty good too.)
