Multi-track recorders... NZC

I'm in the market for a multi-track recorder around the
	$1000 range. I'm considering mini-disc and DAT as well as
	cassette. I've had good experiences with TASCAM portastudios,
	but I thought I'd ask around a little: are there any other
	products you guys would reccommend?
