Zep and or Page/Plant Covers

Zep Cover:
well, "Tobacco Road "might" work as a cover.
Especially since Robert and Jimmy are familar with the tune.
Howlin Wolf's "May I Talk With You?"
It could prove interesting, rich deep blues.
That might actually be nice for P/P
or a complete rework of the Zombies'
little tune, "She's Not There"
Definitely Page/Plant but it could have worked as a Zep song. This song
could be haunting as an acoustic with the phrase "but she's not there,"
rewritten to take the downturn on a lower harmonic where the pop song goes
on the upturn, especially on the word "there" and more whispered than
chorused. Extra voices like a friend from Fairport Convention. Reduce the
tempo to accomodate the new phrasing. Instead of the organ solo, a Martin
guitar or a Martin and an Ibanez and a Dobro or a mandolin, tablas and some
of the other drums such as the ones the Egyptian musicians played on the
previous tour. Or a wooden tuned drum and an Aftrican piano box with
Charlie's stand up bass with a different set of strings, please. And maybe
a viola or a cello, plucked not bowed. Sung more like the quieter parts of
Thank You and Wonderful One but with quiet despair, as though he wished
somehow that someone long since gone would return.
Sincerely,
Shar
