For MiniDisc Owners Only...

This is a post meant primarily for owners of Sony's MiniDisc technology, and
all others interested:

If you have a MiniDisc recorder (with ATRAC 4) and possess Zepp boot CD's,
and are interested in trading for other shows and/or titles inexpensively
and efficiently, here's your opportunity. There is myself and others on the
list (btw, Thomas G. Farrel (sp?), e-mail me!) who have successfully traded
for some outstanding shows in the past via MiniDiscs that I would never have
had access to otherwise.

For others who have boot CD's and have always wished for other shows to own
that you only hear and read about, may consider purchasing one. The new
Sony JE-510 lists for $299 at Best Buy, and blank MiniDiscs (74 minutes
stereo, 128 minutes mono) can be found for around $5. Rewritable, instant
access, perfect editing capabilities, and digital sound make it a perfect
choice.

I myself have 96 original Zepp boot CD's, and look forward to trading with
anyone interested. I truly love this stuff, and I hope I can find others
out there with the same interest and technology that I have. That's one
reason for the existence of this list in the first place, I believe.

[TO ALL DAT/CDR OWNERS/USERS: please do not try to effectively downgrade
the capabilities of this medium. Most top audiophile critics around the
world have agreed that MiniDiscs (which does use a compression algorithm to
filter out only the sounds that a human ear is not capable of
distinguishing) sound much better than the best tape deck, many have said
almost as good or almost equivalent to DAT, and the expensive initial costs
of a CDR, especially without the technical expertise to successfully clone a
CD, have made the MiniDisc a perfect option. (Yes, if you already have the
proper computer and CDR equipment, and have perfected the fully digital
transfer from one CD to a CDR, you win.) Otherwise, the MiniDisc is clearly
superior in most respects...here's a great website to read all about it:
