Oh, I'm *sure* that he has a good reason-- a VERY good reason.
And that reason is that he's afraid that "troublemakers" (his word,
not mine) like Thor, me, etc., etc., are going to sabatoge his list.
(Maybe he thinks we're going to create an insurrection and then start our
own list, er, ummmm... never mind. ;-))

I can think of several reasons why someone *should* allow Hotmail (etc.)
subscriptions.  For some people, Hotmail is their *only* access to
personal e-mail.
