20th Century Guitar

Hi everyone,

I have in my hot little hands the January 1998 issue of 20th Century
Guitar.
It's a relatively hard to find source for vintage and collectible guitar
enthusiasts. Anyway, Led Zeppelin is on the front cover " Thirty Years
of Led Zeppelin" and there is a really nice 6 page article with many old
photos of the group, and a few really recent shots of Page. There is a
nice overview of the band's history, a snipet about "10 albums that
changed music", a review of the BBC sessions, and the Symphonic Led
Zeppelin CD, a column titled "The guitars of Jimmy Page"... and comments
again and again about how they were, and still are the biggest band in
the world. Very nice.
My favorite photo is one of Page playing with Les Paul by David Allen.
There is a great shot of a very young Bonzo hammering away on his Ludwig
set. (3/4 page black and white)
Nice collector's item....especially if you are taking Hugh's advice and
starting a mag. collection, get this one for sure.
I noted a web site for the magazine..... www.tcguitar.com if anyone is
interested.

Overworked, underpaid, and needing a Page and Plant tour really badly
