I'll throw my two cents in. I like this book quite a bit. I enjoyed
reading what the band members had to say with minimal intrusions from
the interviewers. Some of the quotes are many pages long, and are often
quite revealing. This was the biggest surprise to me, given the strained
relationship the boys supposedly had with the press. 

However, as Eric noted, a good part of the early section of the book is
dedicated to New Yardbirds material and official press releases. Because
they can't be quoted in full they are summarized in very small
paragraphs. They're occasionally interesting to read, but can become
tiresome. That said, I would still recommend this book to anyone on the
list without hesitation.
