- -or- if you have written consent from the performers of the music. There
are many contacts on the Airplane list, and this morning many of the
contacts were rounded up together so they can get written permission from
various members of Jefferson Airplane so they can continue the "Ahuka's
Choice" project, which is a long term tape tree project that has been put
on hold. Unfortunately, I don't think there is anyone on this list who is
in touch with Page, Plant or Jones....the best thing we could do would be
to have someone (Grant?) contact management and see if we can get
something through there......

That's the other ironic thing about it, it is open to so much
intereperatation. If I was arested for tape trading I'd be interested in
what the supreme court would have to say about the issue, I'd take it that
far if I could.
This is fascinating, but not in a good way, it scares the living shit out
of me frankly....the RIAA suddenly decides to ruin most of what a good
percentage opf people on the internet are here for in the first place
which really in no way cheats out the artists and record companies as much
as the RIAA claims that tape trading does, but frankly it seems to me that
they have something stuck up their ass, because they may possibly be
interperating the laws wrong. I am interested to see someone get arrested
for trading a Dead show....then you know there's a problem.
