before I was into Zep. But I was 12 when I started listening to Queen
and 16 when I first 'got into the groove' with the lads, so I suppose
it all fits. But there should be no prob at all with your Queen fan
friend, Mark. I won't suggest what songs, as it's pretty individual as =

to which ones get you, but I would suggest Zep III, Houses, and ITTOD
to start with. Freddie Mercury always quoted Led Zeppelin as being one =

of his major influences, and as I listen to the BBC sessions now,
which was the music Zep was making in the early (pre-release) Queen
days, I am not at all surprised. I think the two bands share similar
qualities, that of great showmanship and excellent musical quality,
even thought their music is on two different (though closely related)
branches of the rock tree.

So just tell her Freddie loved them and she'll bow to his superior
musical taste!!!

K-J, I'm not amused. ; ) As far as a comparison between Robert Plant's =

voice and Freddie Mercury's goes, I'm afraid no matter how much of a
Zep fan I am, I'd have to say Freddie technically had a superior voice =

by far and *never* yelled on any of his songs. Though I have to admit
there are a few songs on Queens first album reminiscent of Immigrant
Song...
