9 The Detroit Fifth Estate reports...
Quarter page ad reads...'The Grande - Led Zeptlin (sic) Linn County &
Lawrence Blues Band January 17 - Target January 18 Sunday 19 Wind.'  In
the events calendar it reads 'Fri. Jan. 17 Grande Ballroom Led Zeptelin
(sic) along with Linn County and the Lawrence Blues Band - Sat. Jan. 18
Grand Ballroom Tonight's program includes Led Zepetelin and Target. -
Sun. Jan. 19 Grande Ballroom From 7 to 11 pm tonight will be Led Zeptelin
and the Wind.' 

11 New Musical Express reports...
Zeppelin beats blizzard...June Harris reports from New York with details
of the first American tour.  She reveals that the band will only spend a
week with the Vanilla Fudge.  "Jimmy Paige's (sic) Led Zeppelin opened
their first US tour after Christmas opening for the Vanilla Fudge...in
Seattle the band were subjected to blizzards but the weather didn't
affect the attendence at their show...immediately following their week
with the Fudge the band moved in to the Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles and
then will move on to the Fillmore in San Francisco...the debut album 'Led
Zeppelin' is slated for release this week.".  When Zeppelin and the Fudge
parted waysZeppelin went into the Whisky while the Fudge went on to play
in San Diego on the fourth.  Part of the reason that they parted would
seem to be that the Fudge and Spirit, who also shared the bill with
Zeppelin, were to play Los Angeles at the Shrine on the 11th while
Zeppelin played the Fillmore...

Led Zeppelin in concert Main Lounge IMU January 15 - 8 pm Tickets on sale

appearing Mother Blues...The pulsations surrounding Led Zeppelin have
intensified ever since the group recorded it's first (and yet unreleased)
album, which was produced by Jimmy Page, just a month ago in London.  Top
English and American rock musicians who have heard the tracks have
compared the LP to the best of Cream and Jimi Hendrix, and have called
Led Zeppelin the next group to reach the heights achieved by Cream and
Hendrix.  This Led Zeppelin LP will be released by Atlantic early in
January...
