ARGH!! Japanese BBC Release Delayed & More CD News!

Hey Everyone:

Greetings from depressing and dark downtown Tokyo where I just got the bad
news....

The release date for the Japanese version of BBC has been delayed until at
least November 15th. There are aleady rumors that it may be further
delayed. I guess someone at the record company must have decided that
releasing CDs by Green Day & Radiohead first here in Japan were sufficient
for rock fans. Or, perhaps, McCue put another one of his voodoo whammies on
me. :(

The Japanese release of the Whole Lotta Love single is supposed to be on
November 5th. The video started airing regularly on MTV Japan this past
week. I quite like this video. I think it's much better than Over The Hills
(shot in blurvision) video, and nothing like the rustic and awesome
Travellin' Riverside Blues video.

In CD news, I just got an advance copy of Quantient (5/5/73 Tampa) on
Cobla. I gotta tell you that I really love what they've done with this box
set! If you're not familar with this label, Cobla releases CDs with
reproductions of rare original vinyl jackets yet the sound is way upgraded
and from tape rather than LP.

I think Cobla is one of the best CD labels ever in terms of both packaging
and sound quality. Their version of BB Hill is certainly THE best release
ever of that show. Sorry everyone, but it's sold out. I think there was
talk of treeing the source though.

If anyone is interested in CDs, please email me privately. Please note that

Rock On,

Eric
