Corey and others mentioning the "Eddie" reference..
I met, then spoke with several times on the phone, then traded with a guy
named Paul Kim who hung out with the guys who taped the LA shows. He told
me all the schemes to sneak in equipment, the type of equipment, etc. He
also told me that Eddie was one of the guys they hung around with(and I'm
pretty sure his last name wasn't VH or Kramer). I did end up getting a
first gen copy of the 27Jun show from the guy. It takes up two 90 mins,
is missing "No Quarter" and JB drums, and would appear to be the 180 min
version of the 120 mins version described in Luis' Live. Can someone tell
me where the 160 mins. tape ends and the 120 mins. starts?
I've just been sorta jammin the 26th and it would appear to be all one
source, in pretty excellent quality. There is very slight hiss at the
Plantations befotre OTHAFA, which quickly disappears by the solo. No
stoppin Bonzo at the beginning of SIBLY. Dancing Days acoustic sounds
incredible on this tape. I kinda like Jimmy's Epic Solo, though by
Achilles, he's spent. The tape is extremely clear and sounds great. The
show as a whole had it's sore spots, but the historically significant
atmosphere after playing 6 nights in town and then closing night with a
four hour megagig, is felt on this tape. Cool s
