Most of us poor slobs buy things because we "need" them. That is, they
are supposed to fill some functional purpose: we buy a car because we
need to get from "A" to "B"; we buy food because we're hungry; etc.
Most of us know that that's not really the way things work, and that
buying stuff can often be seductive in its own right. Aside from the
music, one of the things that I really love about being a Zep fan is
that it gives you a license to acquire or accumulate just about anything
Zep-related. Wanting it is enough. In a sense, the greater your
obsession the closer you feel to the band and the cooler you are. Your
parents, your friends, your spouse, your kids, they might not
understand, but another fan will.
Life's short; buy more (not so much that you'll be short of money for
P/P tkts.) and have a good time.

Let's get this straight. You've written three paragraphs over something
as "trivial as the name of this list." And you propose to spend even
more time conducting a new poll to determine a new name for the list.
Let me ask you: as you don't feel bound to honor the results of the
first poll, why should we expect you to honor the results of a second or
third or fourth if they don't select the name you want?
If you don't like the name of the list that's OK. However, others in
good faith did vote on a name and "The Ocean" won.
IMHO, our "integrity" is better served by honoring the original vote.

Thank you; I don't feel so alone.

RIAA, if you're reading this: FUCK YOU and any other organization that
can't grasp the fundamental distinction between pirate records and
bootlegs.

Yes, and I think that Chris B should rename himself Zerxes Bhagalia as
an ironic tribute to that sad figure. What next? P/P rename themselves
Led Zeppelin? JPJ and three other guys as Zep? How about Page and
Michael White as Zeppelin?
Let's get real. DGs gone; let's move on!
