I don't remember the name of the guy who wrote the song, but I heard an
interview with him back in 1982 or 1983 about this subject.  He was trying
to write something but he couldn't come up with anything.  He happened to
look at a clock, and it said 3:35 or 3:34 (i.e., 25  or 26 minutes
until 4:00), but he wasn't sure which.  And somehow, this inspired him to
write what became "25 or 6 to 4."
