The "Grate" Debate...

I usually know better but I'm stepping up. I understand the new
digital frontier is a wonderful place to let your opinion be heard but
there are some undisputed physical laws at work here.
I have been  listening to and playing Jimmy's music for almost 25
years, he is my personal god, but Blackmore is "technically" a better
"electric" guitar player. You may not like his sense of melody or his
"more is more" approach to solo structure but the fact remains he is
a much more polished player. I am a huge Ace fan also but find it 
amazing when people compare him to the "acknowledged" greats. Ace's
true gift, for better or worse, was his pedestrian approach to his
instrument which represented a reachable level of accomplishment for
us struggling guitar players. Not meant to be bait but the technical
aspect of ones playing can be pretty easily graded out.

Did I mention Jimmy is my personal god...?
