Newport '69 CD
Train Kept A Rollin'
I Can't Quit You, Baby
Thank you. Thank you very much. Well, a lot of people, well, hang on a
minute, a lot of people thought we weren't gonna come here today. There
was a lot of talk that everybody was ill and bad. It was nothing, if you
can shut up a minute, thank you, shut up a minute please, there was
nothing wrong with us at all, and we all intended on coming. That's what
we've come to America for, so we hope that you enjoy everything we do,
and that we were coming in the first place, so don't get any hassles
about what we were going to do and what we weren't. We hope you enjoy
everything we do tonight, and have a ball. We'd like to continue with
something off the first album that we did. It's a thing called Dazed and
Confused.
Dazed and Confused
Thank you very much. We'd like to (audience asks Robert to fix the
mike), we'd like to fix the mike stand first. We'd like to...can you
hear it? Shame the man on the PA system. Sounds (?) like a little fish
and chip work. Can you turn the PA up a little bit, cause the people
can't hear. If you don't mind. We'd like to carry on with a thing that
was...I tell you what, can I do a bit of talking? Thank you. We'd like
to carry on with something that was written with Willie Dixon and Muddy
Waters. This is a thing called You Shook Me.
You Shook Me
We were led to believe that a lot of people went home today. In fact we
passed a lot on the road going the other way, but for you who're still
here, we'd like to, as we've been sort of running miles behind, we'd
like to finish off with a thing. We want you all to sort of join in,
clapping your hands and everything else. This is a thing called How Many
More Times.
How Many More Times
Audience goes nuts!

Dazed and Confused
Thank you very much. Ta. Well, let me tell you, we're really pleased
that we weren't playing here last week, despite the fact that we wanted
to play, because it was so hot. So it seems that we read the cards right
'cause they said it was going to be cool. It's cool. It's cool. We got a
new album coming out in about the second week in August, but at the
moment there's been a bit of a delay on it. And there's been a bit of a
delay on us getting the numbers together really for stage, because we're
still doing the old ones. But we'd like to do something that
was....(audience member requests White Summer). In a bit. It was written
by Willie Dixon. It's a thing that we in England heard on a an EP called
Muddy Water's Twist. I don't know what that means really but.... This is
a thing called You Shook Me.
