I saw an 70s-style ad in a Swedish guitar magazine for the Remasters set,
but I haven't seen any TV ads here in Norway, even if they said they would
be showed. OARN, how does everybody think that the BBC-set will be
promoted? Will it be a huge campaign or will it just stand ther on the
shelves one day?
And now, something completely different.....
I saw two live Yardbirds releases in a legit record store here in Oslo two
days ago. They were compilations from various shows, among them were three
with Page! One CD was the Anderson Theatre show and some BBC tracks. The
Anderson show had a bit less hiss than my boot version, but I didn't buy it
since I allready had everything on it. The other CD was a Stockholm show, 8
tracks from 14th of April 68, and four tracks from a German show on 1st of
March 68. It also featured one Beck track and 6? Clapton tracks.
The covers said that the tracks were licensed from Charly and they listed a
name and address for the record company. If anyone's interested in this let
me know and I'll post it. The CDs also came with a 24 page booklet.
