JPJ, INXS, BBC

Nice to see some talk about the great JPJ here. It would be really
good if Jimmy & Robert get a chance of reading that transcription of
the chat session. They might realise that they're not flying too high
and mighty compared to John Paul. If he tours, he should go and play
Tangerine or Bron-Yr-Aur to get back even more and turn them into
"keyboard"songs. That would make him even more of a legend.

I've seen a few things about Michael Hutchence here. There's been A
LOT of talk on the news bulletins about here in Australia (well,
Melbourne anyway). He apparently was found hanging in a hotel room
shortly after midday on Saturday. There was also a bunch of
prescription pills nearby. It should be known by tomorrow exactly
what happened. It was the last thing anyone expected to hear. INXS
were getting ready for the 20th anniversary tour, and most people
think that he did it because the band isn't as popular as it once
was. They were the best Australian group apart from Crowded House,
but they're no more as well. A sad way to bring their CD's back in
the charts again. I'd love to have seen the news stories when Bonham
died, but since I was only 3 then, I didn't really care about sitting
down and watching them.

With the BBC releases, I was wondering if there was much advertising
about them in other parts of the world. Not a word has been said about
them here although there are still commercials advertising Remasters for
the very special price of $32.95 for a short time only (meaning that it'll
be back down to $24.95 soon). The BBC tape slipped out in the shops as a
slightly "new look to the LZ CD's in the shops (i.e an extra one that
people aren't familiar with). If I didn't hear about the BBC tapes here,
I wouldn't have even known they existed. And now the focus of the music
world is on Michael's death more than anything else.

BTW, Hot Dog is a great song, ITTOD is a great album
