Personally, I disagree. I think it *is* a big deal. Why? Here's a Zep
fan who has been waiting for 16 long years to be able to go down to
the record store and be able to buy a *new* Led Zeppelin album. It's
been way to long since I've been able to say that.
As far as the music, it's great! The discs were masterfully
produced. The first disc has a really "raw" sound, and I'd
have to say an improvement over what I've heard, and I've heard a few
different boots of the stuff. I still love The Girl I Love......as
well as Somethin' Else. Sure, for those of us with decent sized boot
collections there were some glaring omissions, but how 'bout the rest
of the world? Now they get to find out what we already knew. Being
the resident ZepHead at work, Everyone's asking me if they should get
it, and I'm sayin' "Damn Skippy, you should!" I can still remember
the first time I heard live Zep (other than TSRTS) and it was some of
the BBC sessions broadcast by Radio One back in '85 or so, and it
blew me away, and everyone else who heard it too. It can still have
that effect, edits or no.

It's on it's way, I promise!:-)

Have to disagree here as well. His playing is too damn good that
night to have been smacked out of his gord. Of the extended Dazed and
Confused versions, this one by far puts every other one to shame. It
flows from riff to riff flawlessly, the entire band is so *on* that
it was a perfect unit, and I really feel that it could have gone on
for *another* 45 minutes.
Of course, now you've done it! How can I possibly find the time to
sit down and listen to all my versions of Dazed and try to figure out
a favorite? But ya know, I probably will:-)
Bless your socks,
Larry
