Unless he's gotten bitter in the last two or three years, it wasn't a shot 
at all.  He has said in the recent past that Page was his favorite 
guitarist, and that was shortly after being snubbed by him and Plant.

To me, the fact that he picked Jimi and Bonzo was just a fantasy, wanting 
to play with two great musicians who are gone.

With all due respect to Page, a Hendrix-Jones-Bonham power trio would have 
been killer.  I always loved Jimi's singing.
