>> >> He also listed Bonham and Jimi Hendrix - not Page - as the musicians he'd most like to jam with. I was amused by that.
I wonder if that was meant as a shot at Page. << <<
>> No question... it was definitely a shot. Also, note that he mentioned two people that are dead. <<
Why does this have to be a "shot" to Page? Why should Jones' choice automatically BE Page? I think he said Bonham because, as
was obvious from this and other instances when he's talked about Bonzo, he loved the man very much as a friend, respected him as a
musician, and has said himself he's never played with anyone so closely and well. He said Hendrix because, well, as he said himself,
he shouldn't have to tell you why! I understand everyone's desire to see the three Zeps together again, but I respect Jones' position.
More power to him. He's got his own musical shores to travel.
It all goes to prove what I've always said. John Paul Jones is Coolness-Made-Flesh. :) Loved him on the cover of the Diamanda Galas disc,
sitting in the convetible with his shades on. Great "chat" I can't wait for HIS album and his show, I will be there front row center.
I have no doubt it will be fantastic.

Amen, brother!! (Can I get a amen?!?) I can't agree more, but I'll go further. I say NO Zeppelin on this tour. It is time to move on from it.
They can do the new album, they can do their own solo stuff, they can do covers like no one else in the world, so why WHY continue to play
Zeppelin? I for one would love to hear them work through Worse than Detroit, Slow Dancer, have Percy sing a Coverdale song
(ROFL,...can you IMAGINE?!?) or something from the Firm. And this is most DEFINITELY not the time to bring back Stairway, IMHO.
When I'm hot I got to move,
Dan
