To a certain degree, I think the disapointment was that JPJ will not be
involved with Robert and Jimmy next year. At least we know this now! When it
comes around for Atlantic's 50th celebration, their will not be the anxiety
of trying to get tickets for the event somehow because there's always that
chance of them playing together. This good PR for Jones, Page and Plant so
when things happen next year, we won't have the expectations of "Led
Zeppelin" reunion. We will be happy to see Robert and Jimmy back on the road.
Things can always change though. In 1993 Robert had plans on having another
leg of the FON tour in North America during the winter of 1994. He made
references to that on several of the tapes. In one interview he was asked if
he would work with Jimmy again and Robert said something like: "In 1988, I
did a song on Jimmy's album called "The only one" and as far as I was
concerned, it was the only one he was going to get from me." A few months
after that Robert met up with Jimmy in Boston and the rest is history.
