VH1 (fwd)

Greetings All Holders of the Badge

I got the following from Rob Godwin, noted Zeppelin author. This basically
isn't much of anything new info, but just a little more background about
the show. Sorry if this is redundant!

Hey Bruce,
Just been given the go ahead to let everyone know that the VH1
special WILL be broadcast nationally at 8.00 pm EST Friday 21st Nov.

Despite any rumours you may have heard the show was not approved by the band
until today. The show is hosted by Steve Tyler of Aerosmith who narrated it
yesterday. The final changes and editing are taking place today and tomorrow.

The show is basically an ABC of Zeppelin's career. There will be no
surprises in the content of the script for the hard-core fans. However, the
show does feature numerous new rare video clips. As well as footage from
Danish TV, SRTS, Paris 69, Seattle 77 and Knebworth (the 4th August) there
are clips from at least four shows which have not been circulated as well as
rare interview footage from various different years. There are also
contemporary interviews with Page and Jones.
A great deal of effort was taken to make sure that the show didn't lean too
heavily on SRTS for it's footage.

With only 46 minutes to encapsulate their career I think it does a great job
and while it is geared towards the general public it also has many juicy
morsels for the hard-core fans.

Best regards

Rob Godwin

PS If you would like to post this to the newsgroup that would be great.
