Thanks to everyone who transcribed all of the questions and answers. Lets
put all those damn flame wars behind us and discuss some Zep.
A few comments on some JPJ quotes:
On Page Plant
"No, I think they've missed their chance now.
Their plans didn't include me."
Thats too bad that he won't consider a guest appearance for an encore or
something. But we can all still keep our hopes up.
On P/P again
"Although it did seem to include my music."
Nice one JPJ!!! I've said this before and I'll say it again, it was a
direct insult to name the project and rework the JPJ showpiece No Quarter.
On Bonzo:
"Of all time, of all places.
That's one of the nice things about listening to the BBC Sessions
I get to hear him live and well recorded."
He kept mentioning Bonzo. I really got the feeling that he loved and missed
him. Sometimes its easy for us fans to forget that it wasn't the death of a
drummer that broke up the band, but the death of a dear friend.
On his favorite moment:
"ummm... playing at the Boston tea Party for 4 and a quarter hours
with 45 minutes' worth of songs
now that's what i call improvising!"
Great question Cathy, but you should ahve asked him if they professionally
taped it :) Well any mystery about the existence of this show appears to
be cleared up. Now if we could only nail down the date.
BTW what was up with the screen name "John P Zep"? I'm sure Jonesy didn't
pick it, kinda dumb if you ask me.
BTW I'm on my way out the door to a midnight sale of the BBC sessions!!!!
