Whole Lotta Love video frame-by-frame. Part one of three. Or four :)
by Tomislaw Czarnecki
After two days of chasing the new WLL video which was told to be showed on=
MTV a couple of times a day, on September 13th I=92ve finally managed to=
tape that. It was on 21st position of Hit List UK.
I was totally blown away. The Earl=92s Court footage looked so great and the=
material for the entire video was chosen very carefully. Every frame of it=
would easily be a great poster.=20
It was a thousand times better than OTHAFA and Travelling Riverside Blues=
videos.
The video doesn=92t include any surprising footage - maybe except those=
Atlanta 5/4/73 bits with Page wearing white suit and a few shots possibly=
from Bath.
Since it was shown by MTV, the music starts before the image and also ends=
that way, so I don=92t know what happens during the first and last seconds.=
=20
=84From right" means that the shot is from the right side of musician.=20
=84=9277" means that the footage is definitely from 1977, but I=92m not=
sure whether it=92s from Seattle (except for one shot which is known from=
MTV Rockumentary). It=92s not obvious that the other =9277 shots are from=
7/17/1977 because they seem to be more pale that Seattle one.
Footage listing:
3/19/1969 Copenhagen, =84Danish TV Special", pro-shot
3/25/1969 Staines, =84Supershow", pro-shot
6/19/1969 Paris, =84Tous En Scene", pro-shot
1/9/1970 London, Royal Albert Hall, pro-shot.
6/28/1970 Shepton Mallet, Bath Festival, amateur. Not sure about the date,=
but these shots are definitely from 1970.
2/27/1972 Sydney, Sydney Showground, pro-shot
5/4/1973 Atlanta, Braves Stadium, amateur.
1973 Unknown footage with Bonzo wearing red t-shirt. It may be from Atlanta=
too.
7/27-29/1973 New York, Madison Square Garden, pro-shot
1/20-21/1975 Chicago, Chicago Stadium, amateur
5/17-25/1975 London, Earl=92s Court Arena, pro-shot
7/17/1977 Seattle, Kingdome, pro-shot
1977 Other pro-shot (?) footage
8/4, 11/1979 Knebworth, pro-shot
