WLL origins

You Need Love by Muddy Waters. One listen is all it takes.

Michael Shannon <michaels@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> has made a tape called Led
Zeppelin: the Elvis Connection, which puts all together in one place forty
songs by the original artists that Zeppelin covered either in the studio or
on tour.

These are the originals, not the Zep covers, and include, besides numerous
Elvis songs, Dazed and Confused by Jake Holmes, As Long as I Have You by
Garnet Mimms, You Shook Me by Muddy Waters, Black Water Side by Bert Jansch,
I Can't Quit You by Otis Rush, How Many More Years by Howlin' Wolf,
Traveling Riverside Blues by Robert Johnson, and many more.

For me, the one glaring omission is Babe I'm Gonna Leave You by Joan Baez,
but hey--you can't have everything.

Michael has done a great job of tracking down these songs and putting them
on one tape, a really handy reference, and great listening, too. Contact
him if you're interested in obtaining a copy. Jean
