Dream band -- well, if it's a rock band:

Drums - Terry Bozzio
Bass - Tony Levin
Guitar - David Gilmour & Robert Fripp _or_ Jeff Beck & Robert Fripp
Keyboards/Vocals - Tori Amos

Of course, the inclusion of any of the three guitarists would kill this
band before they finished an hour of rehearsals, but still...

If it's an experimental band:

Drums - Bill Bruford or Manu Katche
Bass - Tony Levin
Guitar - John McLaughlin
Keyboards - John Paul Jones
Vocals - I can't imagine anyone singing over this.
