Hi, kids!
No, this is not yet another discussion of our list's name. Rather, the
names of some of the individuals who take part in the list fascinate me.
My own name (Bill O'Neil) is rather drab and boring; I mean, it works, it's
perfectly servicable, and when a friend says "Bill" I say "What?" But it's
boring. Other people here, however, have names that sound like bad guys
from a B-Western, or glamorous Jackie-Collins-romance characters, or fairy
tale heroes.
There's Vinod Shankar, who in a past life surely led the oppressed to
freedom (or at least played the sitar)
There's Theolyn, who stood high in a tower whilst knights in silver armor
battled below her
There's Louis the Great, a tyrannical king whose people lived under rain
swept skies
Buckeye must have arrowed an apple off of someone's head
Tabitha Williams kept many a man enthralled in her web of deception
Carmilla the Supplanter ruled the night streets of Prague, draining the
blood of the living to build an empire of vampires
Petr Notovny surely battled James Bond (and lost)
If Tom Farrell didn't run a saloon in Tombstone, AZ, then Grant Burgess
wasn't a gunslinger
Darwin needs no comment
Pouya needs comment but I don't have one
But of all the names of all the people here, I'd trade mine in for only one...
...Ragnar Bendikson, the good-hearted blundering knight in tarnished armor.
After rescuing the princess, he tripped on the drapes and flew out a
window. He never did get his reward kiss.

The Ten Worst Songs list has gotten way out of hand. It was a joke. I had
to try *hard* to come up with ten shitty Zep songs. In fact, three of the
ten were added purely to bring the total to ten, and are in fact songs that
I like.
Some joker (whose entitled to his opinion, of course) put SIBLY, WIAWSNB,
and The Lemon Song on his list of Ten Worst! Christ, man, why are you
*listening* to Zep in the first place?! And I'm suspicious of those who
can't pick a single song by Zep that they don't like.
