Now, I haven't heard too many live versions of "Thank You_ so I
really can't be too objective about that part of Bill's statement, but
I _love_ the studio version of this song. Granted it was Robert's
first crack at writing a song by himself and, granted, he probably
stole some of the lyrics from Jimi Hendrix's "If 6 Was 9", but still,
it's a great song.
The tune from LZ II that wins the "skip" award for me is "Moby Dick"
hands down. There is just something about this one that bores me
to death. But then, I've never been a big fan of drum solos. Besides,
I think there are much better songs in the Zep catalog to showcase
Bonzo's talent.
