Compilation Albums

Hello Everyone,
Today I was browsing through my local music store and in the new release
section they had a compilation album titled 'The Greatest Rock Songs
Ever' It had some decent stuff on it Springsteen,The Who, Lynard Skynard
etc. but where were Zep? How on earth can you put out something with
that title but doesn't contain any Zeppelin. Come to think of it I own a
few of these 'collection' type albums and they don't contain any Zep
stuff either. Why is this? It cant be Zep aren't 'classic' enough, hell
they have bloody Rod Stewart on most of them. Is this a decision made
Atlantic Records or the band members themselves. If so don't you think
they're doing themselves a disservice by not releasing some material.
I'm not talking about the stuff everyone's heard. (Stairway etc.) but
how about Fool in the rain or Down by the Seaside, songs which will nail
the lie that they were a heavy metal band and would help a new
generation to appreciate Zep.
Hope i've not bored anyone but it's really annoying me.
