Maybe, but 13 minutes is _only_ five minutes shorter than The
Honeydrippers album.
In celebration of finally getting concrete info about JPJs solo album,
last night I was listening to "The Sporting Life". I think that bassline
from "Devil's Rodeo" is about the most evil sounding riff I've ever
heard.
I know that JPJ probably isn't that vindictive, but does anyone think
that he said "So Jimmy's working with David Coverdale which is astounding
everybody, I can out-do that by working with Diamanda Galas! This'll
blow them away"? I mean I doubt that was how he made his decision to
do it, but it _HAD_ to have crossed his mind somewhere along the way, I
don't see how it couldn't. Still his work on that album truly is
fascinating and Pete Thomas (I think is his name) as drummer combines to
make an interesting combo. I wonder who'll be the drummer on JPJs solo
album. Gosh, it better not be Jason. I wonder if JPJ will play any Zep
songs on his tour and if so which ones. I'd like to see him claim "No
Quarter" back from the other guys. This really is a cool time to be a
Zep fan.
