Here's one from another British sitcom called the Vicar of Dibley:

Church council meeting: they need to raise 10,000 pounds. 

The council chairmansays, "We can't raise that kind of money."
To vicar says, "They told Jesus, 'You can't walk on water...you'll get your skirt wet.' Bud he did it anyway." 
A young council member adds, "They told Rolf Harris he couldn't do Stairway to Heaven, but he bloody well did." 
To which an old man on the council replies, "And very well, too, I might add."

And how about a crossword puzzle? I was doing one where certain clues were the original names of famous bands 
and the answers were their more well-known names. 16-Down was "The New Yardbirds" ........
