It rained on us from one of two sources during the week, so now we're
gonna stick it right where it really belongs...
Source 1) To those living the Drew Barrymore lifestyle in the 70's, good
to see you get a bit of a hard time. You make McCue's last post ring
true. You filled up Mr. Zosolp's mailbox with your debate club mail in
addition to your usual gee-willikers messages, and now he has to unsub.
Source 2) [from TBL 7 post-zep chronology, qoutations used loosely] 'Jimmy
Page and David Coverdale attend a Poison/Slaughter concert in Nevada.
Joining Poison onstage, Page manages to fall into the orchestra pit. They
then jam through ramshackle versions of Rover and Stairway.' Must have
been a tough paragraph to pen for Mr. Lewis, but sounds like the gig went
over better than Plant's solo career.
But seriously folks... I visited Makoto Honda's 'Communication Breakdown'
page, and he logs a tape for 3/24/73 Offenburg. Mono (isn't this always a
bit of a judgment call on an audience tape?) audience, with no cut
between SIBLY and Bron-yr-aur Stomp. He calls this an alternate
source, as the 'known' tape is considered a stereo audience tape
with a cut between the above songs during the audience noise. Thanks to
those who expressed interest! Thanks also for the Montreal tape info!
Strange how a master sort of isn't a master- the guy who taped is already
a couple generations into it.
